Today i felt most engaged during the discussion of the film Children of men. Sharing my views and hearing views of others allowed me to gain a better understanding of the film.

During the lecture on dystopia I was most distanced as after the introduction it was pretty self explanatory.

Finding out I was correct about the content on old films for new was useful as I now know I can hand it in.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

Trying to remember how to pronounce  'dystopia ' was the most confusing part of my day as the ideas witching the session are quite simple.

I was surprised how common the idea of dystopia was in modern cinema and how easily it can be used as an out let for controversial ideas.

  5. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?

Watching a film i had never seen before. It was really interesting, and i think its definitely helped me for the political and society points of our new assignment in terms of understanding it.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

I still didn't understand themes, but after the class talked about examples in the film afterwards, i think i understand themes more now.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

Nothing really. Just the explanation of themes before the film, that i understand now after watching the film.

Lindsay explaining Dystopian theory. I really enjoy learning new theories and when I can match my thoughts with a theory it all makes sense to me. I know a lot of people dislike Theory but it fascinates me.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

Going on a break, I had to borrow 60p for a coffee,drama!...and I was very engaged in the film Children Of Men. There was so much in the film to talk about, i thought it was a great film- even though Im not the biggest Clive Owen fan.

Why certain individuals always arrive late...it just interupts the class..how long have they been on the course for????
