  2. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?

I was engaged with editing the last part of my video. my most productive point of the way was working on my essay for theory.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

i couldnt use final cut pro because exporting wasnt happening, and waiting for it to export has taken all day, and it still isnt exported - a waste of an entire day in terms of practical work.

While syncing up Mick for Alex I was most engaged as it kept my attention throughout the day

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening ?

During the last hour I started to loose concentration after a mixture of other lecturers entered the room.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?

During Marks presentation I found that having the shutter speed double your frame rate was most helpful this will help when manually setting up all cameras.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

I didn't feel confused today however being given micks interview was quite puzzling looking through unknown footage is something I need to get used to.

I was surprised how few people at this time during the year couldn't understand how to set up the mark 2s

  4. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
When i spoke to Lyndsey about my personal statement and she went through it with me and told me what i needed to take out, add in and how to generally improve it. I found this was a great help.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
When talking about the DSLR's - i found it hard to understand the different settings and functions and the purpose of the settings. It's always been really confusing to me with how to use those cameras. I managed to have a go at using it myself while out filming but i still struggled as i am still used to the other cameras, all though i would like to be able to use the DSLR's because of the capabilities of them and the shots that you can get from them.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
When Lyndsey helped me with my personal statement

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
When talking about the DSLR's - it just confused me with the different settings and i found it hard to grasp the settings from watching the videos on blogger - i just can't seem to get used to the cameras for some reason. Also, not knowing what to do while in class, we were doing heritage editing today but i am not very involved within this project so i was unsure of what i was meant to be doing, but I managed to get some of my other work done.

I really like the remembrance video that had been edited by students in the class, i think that it's an amazing piece of work and that they should be proud of what they have made!

  5. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?

Editing the heritage Project, talking about films, laughing about films, im always engaged.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

    None really.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?

Mark getting the train tickets for sunday.
:)Lindsay going through my personal statement :)
Andy sorting out our kit for Sunday :) Andy has been redeemed!!!! :)

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

I overheard Nicks comment about Deborahs edit today. It was not constructive.

    5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)

Im going to be filming this sunday and the whole day/eve nxt week on Friday. Im so looking forward to it. My face did not really convey my excitement as im quite tired today. But its great to be trusted to do it, it means alot. Bring it on :)

  6. Sorry I didn't do it yesterday!

    1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?

Talking about films with Mark and Amy is always engaging, and always makes me laugh. Talking to people about a shared passion is always interesting.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

I'm at the point in my edit where I've nearly finished now, well, the rough cut is nearly finished anyway, and so it's just trivial tweaks and rendering at the moment really. I am proud of what I've achieved though :)

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?

Andy sorting our kit out for Sunday, Mark going to get our train tickets, and looking over my edit for me. He told me he liked it, and so that was a big relief! If you spend so much time on something, you can get quite nervous showing it to somebody to watch and comment on.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

A student made a comment about my work, and I didn't really know how to feel about it. Somebody's speech pattern has nothing to do with how I've chosen to put together an edit. If you have anything nice/constructive to say, don't say anything.

    5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)

Being trusted with filming on our own on Sunday in Crewe. Very proud. I'm so glad Amy's going with me, I'm rather nervous and I think we work well together and solve each other's problems well! :)
