Learning Style: Visual 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
When I was editing Heritage as the deadline is quickly approaching. It was a fun day in class today and i think everyone has pulled together to get heritage done. I have started my script for Manchester. I find the start is always the hardest part.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
Someone shouting randomly about a heritage edit instead of discovering the info for themselves and putting the brain in gear.
My hard drive suffered an electronic breakdown today.Heritage Syndrome. The first symptom.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
It was great to chat to G-Man about Heritage today and brought to light, just how important the dvd means to a lot of people, not just to the class and to the people who have worked on it.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
The quick set up of an interview in the class today by a visitor.Of course it is something to go on the dvd but when you have spent time making sure interviews go correctly you cannot help feel disappointed when someone films so quickly not even checking eyeline and sound.
I know that it wont look that good as he was in the wrong position at the camera-eyeline....and the sound of the scanner in the background which he should of addressed but didn`t unfortunately. I should of told him my thoughts reflecting on it.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
Between Mark,G-Man and Angela im unsure who has made me laugh the most today. Im not looking forward to the test.
I really appreciate that Debs will be helping me film tomorrow, especially with it being an evening shoot.
1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening? When we were writing our essays. I liked that we were able to work in silence for a change and it was a lot easier to concentrate and be focused on my work without any distractions.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening? When people in the class started talking and discussing things. All though i know this couldn't be helped but it disrupted my concentration and i lost my focus for a while.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful? There was no help that was given today as we were just purely concentrating on our essay and completing that today.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling? When i first looked at the essay and what we had to do it seemed to be confusing and was unsure of what to do. However, with being forced to my work in class i found it more helpful as it meant that i just got on with my work and got it done. I thought that it was a better environment to work in when we need to get work done and completed. All though it's nice to talk in class it was good to work in a productive environment.
