Deborah, Amy and John have been selected to be involved in this project based on their work on the Heritage project.
There will be more opportunities like this in the future...however, it will always be based on work produced and effort. So if you want to work on these projects in future you know what to do people
Meeting tomorrow
Deborah and John - we are due to start work at the location @ 10am in Derby. If you arrive at college for 8.30 we can have a quick chat and then I will drive equipment over. There will be a taxi booked for you from outside the Winery.

ReplyDeleteregarding finishing time...we have been cleared to film as long as we like and I will likely be working late on the project...
However, I realise that people need to get home so I can arrange a taxi to pick people up and take them back to college when feel that they are ready to go
shall we say 6 for the taxi back to college?
also, bring warm clothes, no heels (if it's old wood floor it will damage it) and a packed lunch
should be fun ; )...(I will check msgs on here all evening so any questions - just ask)

ReplyDeleteil chat a bit in the morning but the concept of the video, which will hopefully come across, is that the band are isolated in a house and the world is a fast (perhaps dangerous) place that moves at a million miles an hour...its dangerous to leave
we will project images onto the walls where the band are performing...timelapses, brawls, animals....
one of the implied ideas is that we (i.e. people) are safest in the arms of a parent - a fetal position....which is going to be presented in a rather ambigious way
there will be many strange images - milk pouring in a fridge, a black rose - its all rather disjointed (to say the least)
there isn't really a narrative...its more of a mood piece...but there will be banging of drums and strumming of guitars ; )
that make any sense???? haha
long explanation...the short answer would be its about isolation...
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense to me, I can imagine what things might look like. I really like the idea of the projections onto the walls. Sounds like installation art, haha. I'm looking forward to it even more now I know a bit of the concept :)

ReplyDelete@amy we'll be starting at 10am - hopefully filming by 5 past...taxi will leave college at 9.25...we dont need to carry any gear so you should be fine to get there bout 9
tomorrow will be more intense as we've got a lot to do so i think we'll stick to one role - hope thats fine with everyone (???)

amy/deborah - up to you who does lights / third camera (on certain scenes)
