1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
Talking about ideas for 'Dragonfly', aesthetic-wise. I've been given the job of storyboarding, but we need locations confirmed first, and I definitely need to consult Paul about the ideas I've had so far. But just thinking about various ideas and discussing them with a few people helps to get the ball rolling and is engaging.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
Waiting for my Eden edit to render various bits and bobs. It's very nearly finished now in my opinion, I just need second opinions - I've been editing it for a few weeks so I may well have missed something that needs changing.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
Talking to Mark and Amy about 'Dragonfly' and the Manchester trip in general - just getting a clear picture of what needs doing this week (locations) so we can then move onto other things (schedule/shot lists/storyboards).
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
I wasn't confused.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
I think Amy's starting to feel the pressure, let's hope she can manage and not leave her alone to sort everything out :)

Making the first phone call to a cafe! I have been engaged in trying to think how to pull this short film together. I am a secretly determined but dont feel some crew members are at this point.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
Worrying about trying to make the film true to Pauls script. I feel some locations will not be exactly, but as close as possible to the script.Sourcing actors is a big task and I hope I am able to find enough for our film. Some people are telling me what I should be doing as a producer.....why??? People have there own roles to think of.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
Certain people have been helping source locations and come up with ideas. Some people need to come to me as a producer instead of me going to them- i want people to ask me "What do you need doing" !!!!!
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
People who sit in class listening to music or watching films. We are making a short film which has alot of things to consider. You cannot be focused on whats going on in that case. I dont want to shout at people because they have there headphones in or be given rubbish excuses. I dont want a repeat of today. I dont want chat...put it on paper.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
This role is pushing me outside my comfort zone which im dealing with. I dont like talking in front of groups but im doing it and have never had to source actors before but im am. Whats everyone else doing? I want more results tomorrow.
