I Need a Team!!!

On Thursday 3rd November I start to film the first shoot for the Trent & Dove project.

I need a team.........Not just any team...........I need the Dream Team..........but not that dream team.

On Thursday 3rd November there are 2 locations. Winshill in the morning and Stapenhill in the afternoon.

I want to conduct the production slightly different to the Mixed Heritage project. It is my intention to have a core unit of individuals who will have a specific role throughout the production. Therefore, I need the following roles to be filled:

Producer (possibly x 2) - the key role (in my opinion) as they will be responsible for the organisation and liaison with interviewees that are involved in the production.

Camera x 2 - obvious, but responsible for sound and lighting; more than likely shooting on the 600D, as mostly shooting 50 fps.

Editing x 2 possibly 3 - editing on one machine.

So in total I require a team of about 7 people.

It is my intention for the production to only be 3 minutes long as personally this is all I feel it needs to be at the moment.

Other filming days have been agreed upon:

Wednesday 9th November - in college somewhere targeting students.

Thursday 10th November - Horninglow morning and Burton Town afternoon

Thursday 24th November - Tutbury morning and Uttoxeter in the afternoon

There will be pick-ups and further shoots on location but this has not been arranged as of yet.

If you want to specifically have role in this production let me know, via the blog, as soon as possible. I will be having a team meeting on Wednesday November 2nd at 12.45 in UC201 (only for about 20 mins) to discuss the shoot on Wednesday 3rd and the rest of the project.

If you have not already made a major contribution to the mixed heritage project then this is an ideal opportunity to work on an additional project - however my decision who I work with is final.

1st November will mark the birth of the Burton Co-operative Learning Trust an innovative approach to teaching and learning in Burton Upon Trent

Eight Schools have joined together with local partners to work collaboratively with the aim to provide the highest quality teaching and learning and contribute to achieving the very best outcomes for children and the local community

Trust schools are state-funded local authority schools supported by a charitable trust made up of the schools and partners invited to join the trust by the governing bodies

The eight schools: Eton Park Junior, Fountains Primary & High, Horninglow Primary, John of Rolleston Primary, Lansdowne Infant, Outwoods Primary, Richard Wakefield Primary and William Shrewsbury Primary will form the Trust with partners, the Co-operative Movement, The de Ferrers Academy, Derby University, Burton & South Derbyshire College and the Burton Albion Community Trust

The formation of the Trust formalises an existing approach to collaborative working with the added benefit of wider partnership involvement. As a 'co-operative trust' the parents and carers, staff, pupils and local community organisations are invited to become members of the Trust and contribute to making decisions about how the schools can work as a collective to improve opportunities for children, families and communities

Bernadette Hunter, Head Teacher of William Shrewsbury Primary School, said on behalf of the schools trust: "The launch of our Co-operative Learning Trust is a really exciting educational milestone for schools, children and families in this area

"The closer partnership working between the eight schools will provide a range of innovative opportunities for the 2,600 children in the Trust to work collaboratively with their peers in other schools; for staff to share expertise and professional development and for schools to group together to get best value from services

"Working with external partners will provide opportunities for the whole community to be involved in raising standards and contributing to the best possible outcomes for all the children in the Trust"

Prof. Des Hewitt, Assistant Head of Teacher Education at the University of Derby said:

"This is a fantastic chance for all the members of the local learning community to come together for the benefit of all children. This builds on a very strong existing partnership with schools. In the University of Derby we want to take this further to use new technologies and new approaches to learning to help schools develop an existing curriculum for pupils and adults alike"

Blood...

As promised, here is the blood recipe John

BE CAREFUL and read thoroughly!!!!

This recipe will make alot of product so half the mixture if you do not need so much. However, it will stay fresh in the fridge for about 4 months.

Be aware that although safe to put in the mouth, it will sting the eyes and IT WILL STAIN!

Ingredients:

Toffee Sauce
Red, Yellow and Green Food Colouring

Pour the toffee sauce into a container with a lid (suggest the sauce bottles that you can get from the pound shop)

Add half the Red food colouring into the toffee sauce.

Shake the mixture

Add the yellow just less than half the bottle, shake the container

Add five drops of the green food colouring, be careful with this because you will ruin it if you add too much

Shake the container for the last time

Test the colour. Think about what part of the body the blood is for ie. stomach blood will be darker and more runny than arm blood.
