a couple of things...

Firstly, well done everyone on the Trent and Dove / Mixed Heritage editing projects today! All are coming along nicely...

As you know, we have been filming the projects with DSLR's (5D Mark 2's) - subsequently there is a page on the 'moving image production' blog that may help you...

Lots of video tutorials - check them out http://movingimageproduction.blogspot.com/p/dslr.html

Work not submitted!

The first theory assignment is now two days overdue.

Only 5 people have submitted all the required work and 3 of you have submitted nothing at all.....

These deadlines are tight and it's not advisable to fall behind on the first assignment so please ensure everything is brought up to date over the weekend.

* 3 people have authorised extensions - your work should be submitted on your blog by Wednesday.

Viral Video Brief

I've added the brief for the viral video assignment as I've been asked for a digital copy by some individuals.

Download it HERE

Remember, the brief covers 2 units; Unit 62 Digital Video Production for Interactive Media & Unit 3 Research Techniques for the Creative Media Industries.

Trent and Dove

Hello!

As part of your current assignment (UNIT 28) you will contribute towards the college's collaboration with Trent and Dove

Amy Hicks will be coming in on Friday morning @ 10 to discuss the Trent and Dove element of your current assignment (please read the assignment!) and answer any questions...

In preparation for the main video we are going to make short promo videos for different areas/estates. The short promos are designed to attract younger people and, hopefully, get them to contribute towards the main video which will be filmed in November.

These short videos need to be made asap - filmed over the weekend preferably and edited next week in class so that they can go online...

The videos require shots of the area followed by text encouraging people to get involved. But remember, this needs to attract a young crowd - so make it creative!

Posting Theory Work

Apologies!

I told you incorrectly earlier today. Instead of posting your work directly on to the Theory tab on the Moving Image Year 2 Blog.
You should have all created a Theory tab on your blog page. This is where you need to post your Theory work.

If you are having problems setting a new page-up and posting I will run through it tomorrow (Thursday)

Please do not post on to the Moving Image Year 2 Theory Page - create and use your own as the Moving Image year 2 Theory page is for Lindsay to post only.

Thank You!

What should I be Posting?

Remember, your individual course blog should only contain information relevant to the assignments you are working on.

For the purposes of internal and external verification it is essential that only assignment related content is present.

Furthermore, please remember that when you make a post that you state, which assignment brief, unit and criteria it refers to - this is paramount.

If you want to share your thoughts and opinions on other film and media related topics (competitions, festivals, film reviews etc...) please post them on your main course page.

Everyone on the course has subscribed to the course homepage and will be able to see your post.

Thank you.
